Amantis originates from the desire to create ideal wines, able to express beauty and goodness, magic and wonder of the area where they originate. These are strong wine expressing the quality of land, vineyard and environment in total. The flavors and tastes reveal the love of the people who have worked in the vineyard and cellar to the five senses. The hope is to tell about the sun, air and rain that were the foundation of the grapes becoming wine.

Amantis is a new winery located in Montecucco owned by consulting oenologist Paolo Vaggagini. Super high-density vineyards and tiny yields per plant form the cornerstones of the approach here.

History and Landscape
The name Montecucco is very recent: indeed it was acknowledged only in 1998. It includes several varieties of wine: Rosso, Sangiovese, Bianco and Vermentino. Rosso and Sangiovese also feature a Riserva wine. Thanks to the DOC certification, both wine makers and consumers have a new way of protecting and increasing the value of this wine. The DOC discipline is indeed strongly connected to the traditions and the wine?making techniques of this area, which have been recently improved and refined. As a result, some of the local wines - in particular the red ones - are today renown and sought?after in the global market.
