Called Weisser Burgunder in German, this exciting and zippy Pinot Blanc from Dr. Wehrheim is vinified completely dry (Troken) and with firm acidity is a good pairing with lots of different foods.
Teeming with young, experimental growers as well as charming old-world villages, the Pfalz region is perhaps Germany's most exciting. Beginning at Alsace's northern border, the Pfalz winds its way northward on the eastern hills of the Hardt Mountains. The climate allows the ripening of a host of varieties, including the notorious Cabernet Sauvignon, showing just how interesting the region could be to the individualistic minds that are drawn there.
