Elizabeth Pressler and Spencer Graham source fruit from a handful of dedicated growers and a dozen vineyard blocks. "Our growers provide us with continuity of high quality fruit, and we pay them fairly and reliably, in vintages of scarcity and excess". In an era of corporate grape contracts, their long-term agreements consist simply of mutual high regard and a handshake. Both Elizabeth and Spencer carefully monitor the annual growing cycle and fruit development through to harvest. Their wines are made to be be accessible in youth, display ample fruit and be well-balanced from the first impression through to the finish. Their Sonoma Coast Chardonnay vineyards are located just north of San Pablo Bay outside the town of Petaluma. Cooling influences from the nearby bays converge with those from the Pacific Ocean to create a particularly cool microclimate which is ideal for growing Burgundian varietals and provides a platform for gradual and complete development of fruit flavors and aromas. The best with fresh dungeness crab.

The Sonoma Coast AVA is an American Viticultural Area in Sonoma County, California, USA containing more than 500,000 acres, mostly along the coastline of the Pacific Ocean. It extends from San Pablo Bay to the border with Mendocino County. The appellation is known for its cool climate and high rainfall relative to other parts of Sonoma County. The area has such a broad range of microclimates that petitions are being made to the United States Department for the creation of sub-AVAs such as the proposed Fort Ross-Seaview AVA
