Roberto and his family have been working the vineyards for generations, each dedicating himself to the earth, the Italian region of Umbria, and above all else their passion for wine. Since 1994, the entire vineyard has been certified organic, and current owner/winemaker Roberto di Filippo continues the tradition by producing local wines on their 30 hectares of sun-drenched hillside vineyards, halfway between Torgiano and Montefalco. Their passion is combined with a vision that looks to Organic and Biodynamic, not as a fad, but as a philosophy of life that is the basis of production from soils extracting the true "soul" of Terra Umbria.
Umbria is a small, beautiful region in the center of Italy, rich in history and art, with a landscape of medieval hilltop villages, castles and monasteries. Unlike its Tuscan neighbor to the north, and despite its scenic beauty and cultural treasures, Umbria is a region largely untouched by large-scale tourism.
