A lovely, young Verdejo showcasing aromas of newly mown grass and orchard fruit. Balanced and powerful, with a grand, persistent finish, it shows a truly pleasing freshness and vibrancy. Perfect pairing for a summer tomato salad and grilled sea bass.

Vega del Pas was founded in 1996, on cutting-edge technology, boasts a wide range of wines. The vineyards cover 190 hectares, of which 160 correspond to white grapes and 30 to red varietals. This estate rises between 700 and 800 metres above sea level, with flat but high lands that bear up under very long, cold winters, short springs with late frost and hot, dry summers. Being located in the centre section of the Duero River depression, the land constitutes a highland plain with soft contours and slopes subject to the Atlantic winds. These are dark grey lands, rich in calcium and magnesium, stony but easy to work, with good aeration and drainage.

The less famous neighbor of Ribera del Duero, this tiny but important wine region is considered one of the best for producing world class white wines. Like Ribera del Duero, the region suffers from dramatic climate changes, extremely cold winters followed by scorching hot summers. In the 1970, the vineyards began to widely plant the native grape Verdejo, instead of the heat tolerant Palomino which is found in sherry but could also produce a high alcohol and dull table wine. These days, wines from Rueda are fresh and vibrant and represent a great everyday value.
