Wonderfully pure and expressive red from the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany. Harvested from biodynamically farmed 15 year old vines, fermentation was done with only natural yeasts. Aged for 12 months in stainless steel, the resulting wine is bright and juicy with excellent structure.

At the end of 1999 (after a former life as a wine salesperson in Manhattan), Silvio and Catalina Messana came to live in Montesecondo, a family farm located in the village of Cerbaia in the Chianti Classico area.

The 49 acres of the farm are surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and woods, at an altitude of 150 m above the sea level.
Vineyards are planted to Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot.
Silvio began converting the land to biodynamic cultivation. 2003 was the first fully organic vintage.
