From one of the most respected families in Champagne, the Doyard Family Cuvee Vendemiaire represents generations of producers closely linked to the history of this storied region. From 1 premier cru and 4 grand cru vineyards, the Cuvee is made from 100% Chardonnay, assemblages from the 2000, 2001, and 2002 vintages.

After the First World War, Maurice Doyard brought back from ruin his vineyards in Vertus. As he was preparing the vineyards to produce Champagne he helped to organize an association of Champagne producers. This organization later named him Syndicat General des Vigerons, along with Mr. de Vouge (from the house of Moet/Chandon) of inter-professional Committee of Champagne in 1941. The Doyard family is closely linked to the history and regulations of Champagne. They have 1 premier cru and 4 grand cru vineyards all located within the prestigious zones of Vertus, Oger le Mesnil, Oger, Avize, and Cramant/Ay. Today Yanknick Doyard oversee his family's winery working hard to maintain their reputation through the highest possible care.

No other winemaking region is as closely associated with celebration and romance. Brand-power here is also stronger than other regions, and consumers pay a premium for consistency and reliability. However a new wave of "grower" champagnes is introducing wines of distinction and character. Major varietals include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
