In 2009 Heitlinger not only became the second biggest privately owned Estate in Baden, it became one of the leading quality dry Riesling producers in Germany. This is a cool character Riesling, with a vivid fresh Aroma perfect for fish, chicken and salad or well chilled on a hot day.

It's winemaker Claus Burmeister's goal at Heitlinger to make wine that is both artistic and creative with true craftsmanship at its core. Through careful growing practices, gentle grape handling and skillful processing, he produces wines that appeal to both wine lovers and trained experts. The HEITLINGER wines stand for
a creatively composed wine enjoyment. The gentle hills of the area, offer perfect soils for these refreshing, well
structured whites.

Due to its very large north-south length, Baden is divided into nine districts (Bereiche), which is more than any other German wine region. Baden spans approximately 200 kilometers, and is primarily situated on the eastern bank of river Rhine. Much of Baden is situated in the Rhine rift, which is protected by the Black Forest and the Vosges mountains to the west of Rhine, and is one of Germany's warmest location.Therefore, its wines are usually more full-bodied and higher in alcohol than wines from many other German regions.
