Ideal growing conditions on steep slopes and cool winds out of the Alps contribute to this superior fruit. Great acidity is balanced by a lush fullness that makes it a great food wine.
These interesting wines from come from Collio in Friuli, northeast Italy, close to the Slovenian border. Venica & Venica appears to be an estate determinedly aspiring to greatness -- producing wines of undoubted depth and seriousness.
