The term “table wine” is probably the most misunderstood classification of the American wine industry. While “vin de table” , “vino di tavola”, “tafelwein” and “vino de mesa” do in fact refer to a lower quality of wine when describing a European wine, “table wine,” when referring to American made wine, simply means that the alcohol content is below 14%. The American term does not indicate the quality of the wine and any American wine with an alcohol content below 14% can be called “Table Wine”. Try pairing this wine with poultry, roasted game, pork, red meat, pastas and salads.
Mid-Northern Sonoma's proximity to the coast, as well as the dense fogs that creep down hillsides, is the key to the region's favorable viticultural tendencies. Long a source for excellent Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the area in and surrounding the Russian River Valley benefit with long, ideal growing seasons, allowing the perfect balance in ripening the fruit.
