Deriving it's name from a French expression for "Tin Man," this M. Ètian Cabernet 2-pack is most certainly full of heart, not to mention body and flavor. A stellar collectable wine, but most deserving of consumption with a rich yet delicate meal; veal, tenderloin steaks, venison, hearty pasta & tomato dishes.

The set includes 2 bottles and wooden display box with engraved Tin Man cover.

Photographer and wine entrepreneur Bret Lopez, owner of the J J Cohn vineyard, began the Scarecrow project as an homage to the man who planted the vineyard: his grandfather, MGM executive Joseph Judson Cohn, who among other accomplishments oversaw production for "The Wizard of Oz." Cohn planted the plot in 1945, and the same vines still exist, yielding ever-lower amounts of fruit, leading to incredible distinction and depth of flavor.


Lopez assembled a crack vineyard team, including consulting winemaker Celia Welch Masyczek (Staglin, Hartwell.) The entire team takes part in all stages of the operation, ensuring a comprehensive, thorough approach from viticulture to marketing.

The Napa Valley is one of the most highly praised regions in the wine world, and has been ever since the mid-70's (if not the mid-60's for Robert Mondavi and like-minded pioneers) for the quality of its climate, and its seemingly inexhaustible supply of moderate, ideal growing seasons. A region full of climatologically diverse sub-regions, it is a winemaker's paradise, as they are able to harness the potential of so many diverse terroirs within such a relatively small area.
