The name of the domaine is evocative, as the the "fadan or fada" is the name given to whoever has been touched by the fairies and lost their mind. This Rose is a lovely blend of Grenache and Syrah from the southern Rhone Valley. The higher altitudes have generally led to lighter-bodied reds and rose's that were essentially only suitable for young drinking.

Mas du Fadan in owned by David Fayet, a young winemaker who cares about the environment and is quickly on his way to becoming 100% organic. This estate believes in only natural fertilizers, so they enlist sheep to make sure their vines stay healthy, and concentrate on keeping yields low to emphasize the characteristics of the fruit. The natural tendencies of David as well worth the effort, as his vines are in pristine condition and the harvested fruit is ripe and concentrated. Grapes are hand sorted, and only the best make are included in his wines.

The Ventoux region sits in the south-eastern corner of the Rhone valley, high on the Vaucluse plateau, and east of the ancient city of Avignon and the great vineyards of Chateauneuf du Pape. The higher altitudes have generally led to lighter-bodied reds and rose's that were essentially only suitable for young drinking, though some producers have now started crafting more durable reds that are age-worthy.
