The grapes in this blend (50% white Garnacha, 40% Viognier and 10% Muscat) are grown on old vines before aging for 4 months in French oak. Floral aromas highlight light fruit flavors, a creamy finish and vibrant minerality. Try with grilled salmon

The production team at Edetaria has one goal in mind: to maximize the expression of their unique terroir in all of their wines. They consistently deliver on this goal, thanks largely to an unusual vineyard soil called "panal", which is a type of fossilized sand dune. The vines are decades old, bush-trained, and very small thanks to the depleting nature of this soil and the dry climate of the Terra Alta region. In such conditions the grapes produced by these vines are also small, with amazingly complex and concentrated aromas and flavors that are preserved in bottle through respectful winemaking.

The name Terra Alta literally means "highlands" and vines grow in steep, terraced slopes much like Priorat to the Northwest. Winemaking here goes back to the twelfth century when the King ordered settlement by the Templars.
As the southernmost DO in Catalonia, Terra Alta has the hottest climate and the lowest rainfall. The region is best known for barrel fermented white wines, but is quickly gaining a reputation for producing reds with rich, spicy fruit.
