Tom Meadowcroft is the man in charge at Thomas Henry, a Sonoma winery dedicated to the memory of his father Thomas who was passionate about life and great wines that didn't necessarily need to cost an arm and a leg. These wines reflect a subtle European style of winemaking, yet with the depth and energy we love in new world wines. Thomas Henry is created for everyday enjoyment and entertaining, and deliver serious value for any wine enthusiast. This Zinfandel has dark flavors, medium body, and smooth tannins which is perfect for burgers, BBQ and spicier foods.

Thomas Henry is the new label from noted California winemaker Tom Meadowcroft, and his wines directly come from his experiences growing up, working and traveling in Europe and the United States. Early in life, he started his journey in winemaking by working the harvest of 1979 in Bordeaux. Later in life, he worked at wineries in Washington and Napa, attended UC Davis and Napa College, and then became a vineyard manager focused on sustainable farming and environmental advocacy. Managing dozens of properties for the top wineries in Napa and Sonoma taught him the principles of winegrowing and gave a vision for the kinds of wines that he makes today.

Mid-Northern Sonoma's proximity to the coast, as well as the dense fogs that creep down hillsides, is the key to the region's favorable viticultural tendencies. Long a source for excellent Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the area in and surrounding the Russian River Valley benefit with long, ideal growing seasons, allowing the perfect balance in ripening the fruit.
