Since 1976, the Heitz Family has crafted elegant Cabernet Sauvignons from the exceptional fruit at the Rhodes’ Rutherford ranch. These wines are consistently noted for their complexity and lean silkiness. This Cabernet is produced in Bella Oaks Vineyard.

Heitz Wine Cellars was established in 1961 by Joe and Alice Heitz. Today, they are joined by their children, David and Kathleen, truly making Heitz Cellars a family operation. The Heitz Family is dedicated to producing outstanding wines, exemplifying an ongoing tradition of the art of fine wine-making in the Napa Valley.

The Napa Valley is one of the most highly praised regions in the wine world, and has been ever since the mid-70's (if not the mid-60's for Robert Mondavi and like-minded pioneers) for the quality of its climate, and its seemingly inexhaustible supply of moderate, ideal growing seasons. A region full of climatologically diverse sub-regions, it is a winemaker's paradise, as they are able to harness the potential of so many diverse terroirs within such a relatively small area.
