The majority of the grapes in this vintage are from Sonoma County, with portions from Monterey and Napa. By using grapes from a broad range of California appellations, Red Rock has the flexibility to choose the highest quality fruit.

Red Rock's winemakers seek only the highest quality grapes from California to create uniquely satisfying, smooth wines. Their winemakers take great care to strike a harmony between approachable elegance, lush fruit flavors, and rounded structure. Body and flavor are wonderfuly matched and exquisitely balanced, achieving a delicate harmony.

Nearly three-quarters the size of France, California accounts for almost 90 percent of entire American wine production. The production in California alone is one third larger than that of Australia. If California were a separate country, it would be the world's fourth-largest wine producer.

The state's viticultural history dates back to the 18th century when Spanish missionaries planted the first vineyards to produce wine. Today there are more than 1,200 wineries in the state, ranging from small boutique wineries to large corporations with distribution across the globe.
